William Byron, whose full name is William McComas Byron Jr., was born on the 29th of November 1997 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the U.S. to parents, Bill and Dana Byron. He first saw a stock car race on television at the age of six, and it immediately got him interested. He began racing on the iRacing simulator as a teenager and has recorded upwards of 100 wins and 298 top fives in online competition.
At 15 years of age, he began racing in the Legends competition. He won 33 races that year and became the Legend Car Young Lions Division champion. Coming to his education, he has attended Charlotte Country Day School while taking online classes through sponsor Liberty University. He graduated from Charlotte Country Day School in May of 2016. Also, he is currently studying at Liberty University with a major in business communication.
