WealthyPersons aims to publish accurate, clearly attributed information. We also recognize that errors can occur and that information about public figures, companies and financial estimates can change.
This policy explains how readers and subjects can report possible errors and how we handle corrections, clarifications and updates.
What can be reported
You may contact us about:
- Incorrect names, dates or biographical details
- Misidentified people, businesses or relationships
- Inaccurate career or company information
- Misquoted or incorrectly attributed statements
- Broken or unsuitable supporting sources
- Materially outdated information presented as current
- Misleading headlines or summaries
- Unsupported legal or reputational claims
- Net-worth estimates based on demonstrably incorrect information
- Images that are wrongly identified, credited or licensed
- Other factual statements that may require correction
A disagreement with an estimate or editorial conclusion does not automatically establish an error. Requests should identify the specific statement and provide reliable supporting evidence whenever possible.
How to submit a correction

Please include:
- The URL of the article
- The exact statement you believe is incorrect
- The proposed correction
- A brief explanation
- Links or copies of reliable supporting evidence
- Your name and relationship to the subject, if relevant
Complete requests are easier to investigate. Submitting a correction request does not guarantee that an article will be changed.
How we review requests
When reviewing a material correction request, we may:
- Recheck the sources used in the article
- Review the supporting evidence supplied
- Look for additional independent confirmation
- Contact the requester for clarification
- Seek comment from the subject or representative
- Consult relevant public records
- Review earlier versions of the article
We prioritize errors that could materially mislead readers or unfairly affect a person or organization.
We do not accept payment to make or avoid a factual correction.
Types of changes
Minor edit
Spelling, grammar, formatting or broken-link corrections that do not change the article’s meaning may be made without a formal notice.
Factual correction
When a material statement is wrong, we will correct it. A correction note may be added when the original error could have significantly affected a reader’s understanding.
Clarification
An article may be clarified when its wording is technically accurate but incomplete, ambiguous or reasonably likely to create a false impression.
Update
New information may be added when circumstances change after publication. An update is not necessarily a correction because the original information may have been accurate when published.
Editor’s note
An editor’s note may be used when a change requires additional explanation, when an article is under review or when a significant dispute cannot be resolved immediately.
Correction notices
When a material correction is made, the article may include a note explaining:
- What information was incorrect or misleading
- What was changed
- When the correction was made
We do not normally repeat the full inaccurate statement when doing so would create unnecessary harm or confusion.
Minor copy edits and formatting improvements generally do not receive individual correction notices.
Net-worth disputes
Net-worth figures are estimates unless supported by authoritative disclosure. A subject’s disagreement with an estimate will be reviewed, but a preferred figure will not automatically replace an evidence-based estimate.
We may revise an estimate when better evidence becomes available, narrow it to a range, attribute it more clearly or state that no reliable estimate can be made.

Requests from subjects and representatives
People and organizations covered by WealthyPersons may submit factual corrections or additional context.
Representatives should identify their relationship to the subject. We may request reasonable confirmation before relying on non-public statements or documents.
Providing a response does not give a subject editorial control over the article. However, a relevant response may be added when it improves accuracy or fairness.
Removal requests
We generally prefer correction or clarification over deleting an entire article. Removal may be considered in limited circumstances, including:
- The page concerns the wrong person or organization
- Its central premise is demonstrably false
- It creates a serious privacy, safety or legal problem
- It contains material that we do not have the right to publish
- Correction would not adequately resolve the problem
Search-engine removal and source-page removal are separate processes. Removing a page from WealthyPersons does not guarantee its immediate disappearance from external search results or archives.
Historical articles
Some articles in the WealthyPersons archive were published under earlier management and may not yet have undergone a complete review under our current editorial standards.
Correction requests concerning archived material are welcome. When an older article is materially revised, its modification date and, where appropriate, a correction or update note should reflect that work.
Response expectations
We aim to review well-supported requests promptly, but the time required depends on the complexity of the issue and the availability of reliable evidence.
Repeated messages do not accelerate an investigation. Threatening, abusive, deceptive or clearly automated submissions may receive no response.
