Grace Latoya Hamilton, popularly known as Spice, was born on 6th August 1982 in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, Jamaica. The family later moved to Portmore. The family met with a tragedy when her dad died when she was nine years old. She later moved to London and lived with her grandparents in Finsbury Park, London. She was a part of her church’s choir as she was the leader of the choir.
She did her primary education in London and returned to Jamaica and did her high-schooling in St. Catherine High School. She also joined the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission Festival and got many medals for her participation in the festival’s music category. She realized that singing is her passion, and she wanted to make singing her career, so she decided to enter the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts and graduated with a degree in music and drama.
