Manoj Nelliyatu Shyamalan was born in 1970 6th August in Mahe, Puducherry India. His parents were both Indians. His father is Nelliate C. Shyamalan, who was a doctor by career. His mother was Jayalakashmi from Tamil ethnic group who also worked in medical-related jobs.
