  4. I see an OM symbol on his guitar in the Tom Petty/Ringo/Harrison video. I’m wondering when he discovered Eastern religious philosophy? I came here looking for that. Perhaps with the Beatles when they met Maharishi?

  5. I always loved ELO songs & listened to them so much. Was such great music. I wish I could have seen them in concert. Heard the music & lights together was phenomenal. Well I wish my house was paid for too! Ok am a hard working nurse and do not go to many concerts cause tickets are kinda expensive and when I was starting family, I had too many material house things that I needed then. Well I am still working as a nurse full time (5 days per week when use to be 12 hr shifts or just 2 doubles). Sometimes it seems like I am working more now. But now I would love to go to a ELO concert. Dang! Still gotta make that house payment too though. I’d but a ticket now if I could- their music was so great & takes me back. Thanks for the music & memories!!

  6. Met Jeff Lynne in Andy’s Restaurant and Pub in Greenport, NY on 22 Aug 22. Very nice man and interesting. A lot of fun to talk to. Hope to see him again some day.

  7. My brother bough the “Out of The Blue ” in 1979 and after hearing him play it I was hooked on ELO. Jeff Lynne ha to be one of the all time greatest musicians of all time, he has made sounds never heared before by having microphones set up in his house etc to record unusual sounds and he uses them in his music “who else does this”? Anyway, I was lucky enough to see him in Manchester UK and he absolutely blew the roof off the MEN Arena, my wife got me tickets for my birthday and came with me. My wife has never followed ELO and her brother also attended the concert who has also never attended an ELO concert. My wife loves 80’s music and has been to lots of her favorite bands concerts over the years even queuing up all night for Frankie Goes to Hollywood etc but on exiting the MEN Arena she said to me that the ELO concert was the best concert that she had EVER been to and her brother also admitted the same. ELO are by far the best musical experience that you could ever have, even the lighting experience is the best by a mile so I would say any people thinking otherwise please give it a go as the music is captivating and Jeff Lynne is a true geniuse of past and present music. Totally amazing.

  8. I remember meeting Jeff when he used to play regularly at the Bulls head on the Coventry road Birmingham along with Roy wood Bev bevan at the played to 100 people but clearly destined for greater things .now plays around the world to at least100.000.amazing
It’s where I met my wife of 53 years

  9. There is no one living or dead better than Jeff. I saw him live in the late 70’s then since 2016 another four times. He just gets better and better. He does the best live show ever. Devastated to miss the last night of his tour Glasgow 2020 which was cancelled due to covid. Please please do one last uk tour. I want to take my daughter who was brought up on your music. Jeff is so modest. What is not to like. An inspirational being from another planet.
