Edward G. Hochuli was born on 25th December 1950 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He grew in Milwaukee until the age of eight when his family relocated to Tucson, Arizona. He grew up in a family of six, where he was the second born. He joined Canyon del-Oro High School, where he graduated in 1969. During his high school days, he played football, wrestling, basketball, as well as compete in track events. Ed attributes his competitiveness to having an elder brother.
