Diamond Platnumz was born on 2 October 1989 in Tandale, Dar es Salaam at Amanda hospital. Diamond has three siblings (Esma Platnumz, Romeo Abdul Jones, and Queen Darleen). Mzee Abdul Juma, his father, and his mother, Sanura Kasimu. He grew up in the western region of Tandale by his mother at their grand mother’s house. His father was missing in the picture due to unresolved domestic conflicts.

He went to Chakula Bora Nursery School in 1995 and proceeded to Tandale Magharibi Primary School in 1996, completing his primary education level in the year 2002. Diamond then joined secondary school in 2003 and graduated in 2006.

Diamond Platnumz is of Muslim religion and endorsed Tanzania’s ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) in 2010 and Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete who was its presidential candidate.
