Yuvraj Singh was born on 12 December 1981 in Chandigarh, India, to Shabnam Singh and Yograj Singh, who was also a professional cricketer. During childhood, Yuvraj was good at Tennis and roller skating and also won the National Under-14 Roller Skating Championship. However, his father wanted him to become a cricketer and threw his medals and told him to forget skating and concentrate on cricket.
