Vinnie Vincent, whose real name is Vincent John Cusano, was born on the 6^th of August 1952 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States. His parents are Theresa “Terri” (Ferraro) and Alfonso Cusano, who were both musicians. His nationality is American, and his ethnicity is Italian.

From a young age, he picked playing of guitar and was influenced by bluegrass and rock and roll. He started working with renowned artists with Felix Cavaliere as part of the band “Treasure.” It was after a few recordings that he moved to Los Angeles, California to be a songwriter for the television series Happy Days and Joanie Loves Chachi. He terms his days here as happy days. Since then, he has played with other different bands as their guitarists, including Hunter, Warrior, Heat going as well as Hitchhikers.

Vincent was introduced by songwriter Adam Mitchell to Kiss; thus he replaced guitarist Ace Frehley.  He played guitar on six of the nine tracks on the album Creatures of the Night, having co-written three of the songs. Additionally, he then recorded a studio album with Kiss titled Lick It Up in which he additionally participated in writing. He was named Frehley’s replacement in December 1982 though he hands a huge contribution as a session player to Creatures of the Night.

However, Vincent dint signs any contract with Kiss due to disagreements, especially on the pay he would receive. While he wanted a portion of the profit they made, the band members did not agree; thus he remained as unofficially employed and thus led to him leaving the band After the Lick It Up Tour that came to a close in March 1984. They, however, used him for the 1992 album Revenge.

With the amount he made from the band, Vincent made a personal world tour, including Tahiti, Philippines, Mozambique, and India as well as to Europe. He, later on, formed the band Vinnie Vincent Invasion in the mid-1980s together with singer Robert Fleischman, and they released two studio albums Vinnie Vincent Invasion, and All Systems Go in 1986 and 1986, respectively. Unfortunately, the band separated in 1989.

After having studio sessions in 1990, he released a solo EP in 1996 called Euphoria with Robert Fleischman on vocals. In 2008, SplitScreen Entertainment released a tribute album entitled Kiss My Ankh: A Tribute To Vinnie Vincent that features many artists.
