Tyler is not the only one in the family who loves to fish. Other than his father, his sister also loves to fish and became Tyler’s partner on the ‘Pinwheel’. This came after the shocking death of Nicholas “Duffy” Fudge.
She already knows how to handle a boat and together with her brother, were able to catch a Bluefin tuna that weighed over 800 pounds. She earned her captain’s license that allows her to be Tyler’s right-hand woman on the decks of the ‘Pinwheel’.
In 2018, Tyler faced a difficult challenge that really pushed him to the edge. He lost his good friend Nicholas ‘Duffy’ Fudge who was suffering from ‘the bends’ that mainly affects deep-sea and scuba divers.
The condition is also commonly referred to as decompression sickness. According to the University of Michigan Health, decompression sickness is a result of increasing pressure when a diver comes to the surface of the water too quickly.
Tyler still remembers his first catch with Fudge which he registers as a bittersweet memory.
