Born to Robert and Debby Pastrana in Annapolis, Maryland, Travis Pastrana had a penchant for speed from a very young age and is said to have injured himself several times trying to perform stunts as a child. Starting from a very young age, Travis Pastrana has won 3 Motocross Racing Championships so far and has represented Puerto Rico internationally in motor car racing since 2008. Ever since his debut in the X Games in 1999, he won back to back gold medals in various events from 1999-2008 except 2002, 2004 and 2007 when he was plagued with injuries and could not participate or had to settle for a silver or bronze due to injuries sustained while performing.
After this in 2009 and 2010, Travis had to settle for silver medals and eventually a massive accident while performing the X Games Best Trick in 2011 put a halt to his winning streak at the X Games or at any other competitions for that matter.
Travis Pastrana’s rallying career began in 2003 when he debuted at the Race of Champions. In 2006, he became a part of the Subaru Rally Team USA and went on to win the Rally America National Series for America that same year. By 2009, he had registered his 5th victory in a Rally America season and had clinched the prestigious title of the Rally America Driver for the 4th time, a feat only he has achieved in the history of the series.
