Towanda Braxton was born on September 18, 1973. Her full name is Towanda Chloe Braxton. She is the fourth child in a family of five sisters; Toni and Traci are elder to her, whereas Trina and Tamar are younger; and one elder brother, Michael.
Her parents Rev. Michael Braxton Sr. and Evelyn, were well-known church choir singers. They are from Severn, Maryland, in the USA.
