Tom T. Hall was born on 25 May 1936 in Olive Hill, located in Kentucky, United States. During his teenage days, Tom T Hall invented a band named the Kentucky Travellers that entertained people before movies for a mobile theatre.

Tom was nicknamed “The Storyteller” and has since written songs for most country music artists comprising Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Alan Jackson, and Bobby Bare.
One of Tom’s earliest successful songwriting investments, “Harper Valley PTA” was recorded back in 1968 musician named Jeannie C. Riley. They sold over six million copies and was number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
Tom made his recording career debut following Riley’s rendition of Harper Valley PTA, producing several hit songs from late 1960 throughout to early 1980.
