Tyler Jeffrey Dillashaw, better known as TJ Dillashaw, was born on 7^th February 1986 in Sonora, California. He is the son of Hal and Janice Dillashaw. The UFC fighter was raised in Angels Camp, California. He was schooled at Bret Harte High School, where he joined the school’s wrestling and football teams, respectively.

Dillashaw became a two-time California Interscholastic Federation qualifier, not to mention a four-time sectional qualifier under Coach Jan Schulz.  Moreover, he came in at fifth place with a season’s record of 45-7 at the CIF state championships in his junior year.  He had an overall score of 107-33 during his senior year at the CIF state championships.
