It was in 1997 when Sheikh Mansour was appointed in the presidential office as a chairman. Following the death of his father, he went on to become the first minister of Presidential Affairs in the UAE. With the support of his brother, he has held many important positions in Abu Dhabi.
In 2004, he was named as the chairman of the National Centre for Documentation and Research. He became the Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi and Educational Council in 2005.
Mansour has also been a chairman of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, and Emirates Foundation. In 2006, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department named him as the chairman.
