Scott Grimes was born on the 9th day of July in 1971 in Lowell, Massachusetts. He is the son of Pam and Rick Grimes and has a sister called Heather Grimes, who is also an actress. For much of his youth, Grimes grew up in the neighbouring Dracut neighbourhood and went to the Dracut Public Schools.
He is the uncle of Camryn Grimes, the amazing actress who played Cassie Newman and Mariah Copeland on the Young and the Restless.

Career
Grimes started acting at a really young age. At the age of 13, he starred with Mickey Rooney in a holiday movie called It Came Upon the Midnight Clear. A year later, in 1985, he appeared in an episode ofTwilight Zone.
Just like his acting career, Grimes started singing at quite a young age. In March of 1986, he appeared on a Bob Hope TV Special singing, Somewhere Over the Rainbow. In 1987, he served as the guest vocalist on the Time album by Richard Carpenter of The Carpenters. After this joint performance, Carpenter when on to praise Grimes for his amazing performance.
Grimes released his first album called Scott Grimes in 1989. The album was produced by Carpenter and was released by A&M Records with the lead single of the album being, I Don’t Even Mind. His second album, Livin’ on the Run was released in 2005 and his third album, Drive, was released in 2010.
Grimes still went on to have a phenomenal acting career. His voiced Pinocchio in the animated film, Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night in 1987.
