He made his first-ever trip in an old van in 1984 to the United States of America, travelling around certain places in the country for a year. He was introduced to panoramic cameras when he was in Alaska and also got the opportunity to learn about long format photography. Later on, he went on experimenting with the panoramic format in Australia.
In the year 1989, he went to the United States of America again and undertook a landscape photography project in all 50 states. He has also sold out some of the pictures for use in postcards and calendars. Pictures from this project were later used in a coffee table book known as Spirit of America in the year 2003.
