Nadya (born Natalie) was conceived in Fullerton, California. Her mother, Angela Vitoria Suleman, was a Lithuanian immigrant who worked as a teacher in a public school, and her father, Edward Doud Suleman, was a restaurant owner and a war veteran. He was from Iraq.
