Michael Mario Andretti is the son of the racing legend Mario Andretti and Ann Dee. He was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on 5 October 1962. He comes from a family of racers where his father, brother, uncle, and two cousins are racers. The professional career of Michael began with him taking part in karts racing, where he won 50 of the 75 races he took part in. After competing in kart racing for almost eight years, he moved into racing cars.
