  1. Mark Leopold and Chuck Carlock met in the fall of 1967 in Chu Lai, Vietnam where they served in the 71st Assault Helicopter Company. Mark sent my husband Chuck a link of Mel Bernstein (Dragon Man) giving a tour through his spectacular military museum in Colorado Springs, CO. Chuck has a small military museum and Mark knew he would enjoy seeing Dragon Man’s HUGE museum. (There are many links to this museum and we are enjoying them all!) Chuck wanted to know more about Dragon Man and we were quite touched by his personal story. Many thanks to Mel Bernstein for sharing his life’s work and providing so much video documentation of his massive collection of war memorabilia (everything one could think of). This man and his work are a national treasure!

  2. We visited Dragonman’s museum on 3/3/21 and it is a must-see for anyone interested in military history. The tour is over two hours and you will learn so much if you go. Mel also has a paint-ball business, arms and ammo, a dirt bike track, shooting range, and he rebuilds and repairs Harley parts. There is a really cool Retro 50s and 60s room where he stores his 41 hot rods and tons of other memorabilia. He is very friendly and welcoming, and people of all ages were there on Sunday when we visited. Don’t miss it!

  3. Hi Mel, what a man, you made a wonderful life. How many can say that, I have loved guns since I was 15 years old and now, the same age of you I still do, but our laws are a bit different. I hope to come and see your place and have a shoot before I pop my clogs, so, with that said, keep going, stay safe, enjoy. Kind regards MICHAEL.
