Martin James Pflieger Schienie famously known as Martin Starr was born on 30 July 1982 in Santa Monica, California, to actress Jean St James and James Schienie. After the famous comedy-drama Freaks and Geeks got canceled, James went into a depression due to a lack of role offers in films. He went to train as a barista but did not take the job. He, however, was offered a role in the movie Knocked Up. After the Knocked Up film, he began receiving other movie roles.
