MadeinTYO aka Malcolm Jamaal Davis was born on April 12, 1992, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He had a military family background and had to spend a big part of his young life in several cities of the USA like San Diego and Virginia, besides Texas. When he was a teenager, his parents were in Japan posted as part of the US military service, in the city of Yokosuka, Kanagawa.

But the musical career of MadeinTYO began on February 26, 2016, when he released his debut single called Uber Everywhere under the banner of Warner Bros and Private Club Records.
This single became very popular and reached up to number 51 on the Billboard’s List of Hot 100; came up to the 10th slot on the urban radio.
