When Lex Luger attended High school, he started playing football at Orchard Park, New York.

His skills in playing football identified, and he received a scholarship that enrolled him at Pennsylvania State University. After studying for a semester here, he decided to transfer to the University of Miami.

Lex Luger tied a knot with Peggy with whom they have two children, Brian and Lauren Ashley.

On April 19, 2003, Luger involved himself in domestic violence with Elizabeth Hulette, who was a live-in girlfriend of their townhouse, Marietta, Georgia. During the quarrel, Luger struck her.

In another incident, traffic police arrested Luger for driving under the influence. He was slugging while talking to the police. Hulette was the passenger in the car, and the police called for a taxi that took her home. Luger was also driving under an expired driver’s license.

On March 1, 2003, Hullette passed away after mixing pills of hydrocodone and Alprazolam in vodka. She died in the house they shared in Marietta. Police cuffed Luger after finding many illicit drugs and charged with 13 felony counts on possessing drugs. The police uncuffed Luger the following after paying a bail of $27000.

During his young age, Lex Luger loved playing basketball, though he would play soccer on rare occasions. He was a fan of Manchester United, an English Soccer Club.

Arrangements made to train Lex where he got a professional wrestling trainer, Hiro Matsuda, who was Hulk Hogan and ‘Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff. Luger loved reading comic books and happens to come across one which impressed him. Lex Luger was the villain of that book Luger later gave him ‘Lex Luger’ nickname. That nickname gave him morale to carry himself high as the anticipated wrestler during his early years.

In September 1985, Lex started his in-ring combat where Percy Prinkle and Rick Rude were among those featured in the actual action.

On October 31, 1985, Luger was lucky as he emerged the winner of the Southern Heavyweight Championship after defeating Cocoa Samoa.

On September 1, 1986, Lex Luger fought with Ric Flair, NWA World Heavyweight Champion, where he wrestled under ‘The Battle of the Belts III. The two ended in a draw after a 60-minute play.

Lex Luger fought with Nikita Kollof, who he had defeated back on July 11, 1987. During the fight, manager James J Dillon threw a chair on the cage while Earl Ebner was on the bottom of the cage. As a way of winning the competition, Lex Luger pocked that chair and hit Nikita Kollof at the back of the head, and Kollof went unconscious. Lex picked him up and threw him on Torture Rack. The referee picked Kollof’s hand and dropped it three times with no response. As a result, the referee declared Lex Luger, the winner.

Luger liked to challenge the Four Horsemen and Windham, wrestling teams. He later involved in wrestling occasion with Ric Flair, Horseman leader for NWA World Heavyweight Championship that took place in Baltimore.  The four Horsemen attacked Luger when he arrived in a Limousine. They injured him and left him bleeding in the parking lot. That event was on live television. The referee stopped the match because the Four Horsemen had hit Lex bad on a cut that left his forehead bleeding profusely.

Lex Luger planned to take an official break from the wrestling career between 2002 and 2007. However, he did not retire but went ahead to participate in various competitions. Currently, Lex still takes part in WWE events up.
