  1. I have read all of the “Reacher” books. I consider Lee as one of my favorite authors and includes Nelson DeMille, John Sanford and Lucas Davenport.
I am sorry to have read that Lee is retiring. I will look forward to whom is taking over Reacher.

  2. I’ve enjoyed the “Jack Reacher” series immensely, reading all but “The Sentinel” twice. I had been so looking forward to devouring the latest, “Better Off Dead” today, but couldn’t get past about 48 pages. I gave it my best shot. It’s absolute rubbish.
Why, oh why, did Lee Child not kill off Reacher in an honourable way, if he didn’t want to write any more? Why betray his readers by handing the writing over to someone else, all be it, his brother? The writing, the plot, is abysmal and boring. How did this ever go to print? Does Lee Child not give a damn any more? Is it nepotism? Greed? It’s the end of an era for me.
