Led Zeppelin is a famous British Band formed in 1968. It was set up by Jimmy Page, who was the Yardbirds guitarist. They had originally agreed to be identified as ‘The New Yardbirds’ until Keith Moon (The Who’s drummer), who suggested they go down as “Lead Zeppelin.” The Led Band is made up of Robert Plant, John Bonham, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones, who joined them after Chris Dreja opted out.

All the four are seen as rock classics, fork, and eastern classics and mixing blues. These made them increasingly huge, mainly in the UK and the US. Peter Grant was their manager who did all he could to ensure they maintained an insistent pro-album stance.

The band was able to record nine albums between 1968 and 1979, which made them one of the most famous bands of all time. The quartet was born towards the end of the Hippie love era. They were conceived in a group marriage of rock and roll, blues, rockabilly, soul, and folk ballad, classical, jazz, and Eastern music. They recorded and mixed their debut album ‘Led Zeppelin’ in October 1968 in just about 36 hours. All the four members contributed to their compositions; hence they became a great example of group creativity.

Before they released their first album, the band made several live appearances in London and at the University of Surrey in October 1968. In December 1968, they went on their first tour to America. They made several concert tours to the US and the UK. In 2014, the band’s album Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II and III won Favorite Reissues. In 2016, their album The Complete BBC Sessions won the Favorite Reissues and Compilations awards.
