Kristen was born on 22nd August 1973 in Canandaigua, New York. She is the daughter of Jon Wiig and Laurie Wiig (artist). At the age of 3, she moved to Lancaster, Pennsylvania with her family and attended school until 8th grade. At 13 she moved to Rochester, New York with family and finally completed her graduation from Brighton High School.
