In 1958, Osmond played the role of Henry in the series Official Detective. The following year, he portrayed the character of a 16-year-old boy, Tommy, in the ABC/Warner Brothers western series Colt .45. In 1964, he was seen in an episode of sitcom Petticoat Junction.

In 1957, he played the role of Eddie Haskell in the family sitcom Leave It to Beaver. Osmond also served in the U.S. Army Reserve as an armorer while filming the show.
