Kathie Lee Gifford was born in 1953 as Kathryn Lee Epstein. She was born to Joan and Aaron Epstein in Paris, France. Her mother was a singer, and her father was a musician who, at the time of his death, had stopped serving as US Navy Chief Petty Officer.
