Jonathan Mark Foreman was born in October 22,1976 in San Bernadino County, California. He is the talented son of Jan Carlton and Mark who is a senior pastor of the North Coat Calvary. Hen he was a child his family moved to Virginia Beach and Massachusetts.
Then he became friends with Todd Cooper who influenced him to start learning the guitar he also became part of the switchfoot as a guitarist but later left to chase his own career. His family later moved back to southern California the final destination being San Diego. He went to San Dieguito Academy which is in North County Coastal area of San Diego, California.
He later went to UC San Diego but did not graduate for he chose to pursue his singing career. When he was a young child he looked up to several celebrities as their music influencers such as Bob Dylan, Ronny Jordan , Miles Davis, Radio head, James Taylor, Elliot Smith and The Police amongst others.

In 1997 the band Switchfoot released their debut studio album “The Legend of Chin”.
Foreman and Nickel Creek teamed u to form a project which was originally known as The Real Seanjon” then later renamed to “Fiction Family”. On January 20, 2009 they released their self-titled debut album. Then in November 2012 they released their second studio album titled “Holiday EP” then they released their third album called “Fiction Family Reunion” released in January 2013.
Besides working for a band and with a band he has also done some solo projects leading to the release of four EP’s namely Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. For the EP’s he collaborated with Credential recording and Lowercase People records. He later released a collection of two songs titled Branches and Limbs.
In the year 2015 Foreman released four EP’s called “the Wonderlands. The four EP’s included Shadows, Sunlight, Dawn and Darkness. Each song in the four albums was produced by different producer.
