Jonathan Paul Dorenbos aka Jon Dorenbos was born on July 21, 1980, in Humble, Texas. He was born to parents, Kathy and Alan, who was a software specialist. Jon grew up in Woodinville, Washington. Jon had quite a horrible and traumatising childhood.

When Jon was twelve, his father Alan killed his mother, Kathy. His father was in prison for almost 14 years. Soon after his mother was killed, Jon was sent to a Foster home. It was his uncle Steve Hindman and aunt Susan Hindman, after a legal battle, got custody of him.

Jon used magic to ease his mind and kept himself occupied. Jon did his schooling from Pacific High School in Garden Grove, California. He loved playing sports and was good, almost every sport, including Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Hockey. He was an honour roll student on Dean’s list and has won all-league honours in Football and Baseball.
