Early Life & Biography

Jaycee was born in Los Angeles, California, to Taiwanese actress Joan Lin and Hong Kong-born Chinese martial arts celebrity Jackie Chan on December 3rd, 1982.

Jaycee spent two semesters at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, but did not graduate. He enjoys luxury cars and the nightlife, and he claims he dropped out of school because and I quote from him, “all you can see in Virginia is sheep”.

Jaycee is multilingual, speaking English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Age, Height, Weight and Body Measurements

Being born on 3 December 1982, Jaycee Chan is 41 years old as of today’s date 28th March 2024. His height is 178 cm tall, and weight is 75 Kg.

Personal Life: wife, girlfriend, dating, divorce, kids

Chan was caught and imprisoned in 2014 for marijuana possession and distribution, as well as for allowing drug addicts to stay at his Beijing flat. Chan was sentenced to six months in state prison and was incarcerated for the duration of his term.

Chan is often regarded as a ‘spendthrift’ and ‘playboy’ whose films and songs have failed to achieve economic or critical success despite extensive marketing and support. Chan was named one of China’s top “wastrel” fuerdai by People’s Daily in 2014, which is a demeaning term that describes the people who inherited wealth but aren’t respected.

Following Chan’s arrest in 2014, he lost multi-million dollar endorsements and contracts from Adidas, Nivea, Yishion, Johnson & Johnson contact lenses, Stride gum, KFC, and Chevrolet.

Career

Jaycee dropped out of school and relocated to Hong Kong in 2003 to pursue his career. On his first CD, Jaycee, he composed the music and authored the lyrics for 10 of the 13 tracks. His first film, The Twins Effect II, featured his father in a cameo appearance.

His second appearance was in the Hong Kong romance film 2 Young, in which he co-starred with Cantopop singer Fiona Sit from Hong Kong. In 2010, they collaborated once more on Break Up Club. In 2007, he co-starred in Benny Chan’s action flick Invisible Target opposite Nicholas Tse and Shawn Yue.

His albums and films have not been commercially successful, despite extensive advertising and prizes. In Hong Kong, his film Double Trouble only made $9,000 in its first two weeks. To appeal to local audiences, Chinese websites stated in early 2009 that he had given up his US citizenship in favour of Chinese citizenship.

In Secrets of the Furious Five, he played the younger version of his father’s role Master Monkey. He also played Master Crane in the Cantonese remake of Kung Fu Panda and its sequel, Kung Fu Panda 2. Jackie’s 100th film, 1911, featured Jaycee and his father Jackie. The collaboration resulted in Jackie Chan’s lowest-grossing and worst-received picture to date.

His studios employed Korean and Singaporean artists Jang Na-ra and Fann Wong to promote Jaycee’s new film,Whoever, in order to reach to non-Chinese consumers. Jaycee’s existence as a playboy from a renowned father was mocked in the film.

Despite a government order mandating it to be shown in half of the country’s cinemas, the film was a box office flop, failing to even crack the top ten in China. In Hong Kong and Taiwan, the studios chose not to release the picture in theatres.
