George R.R. Martin was born on the 20th of September in the year 1948 to parents Raymond Collins Martin and Margaret Brandy Martin. He was born in New Jersey and also had two younger sisters Janet and Darleen. His father had half Italian descent, whereas his mother had half Irish ancestry.
