George Edward Foreman, commonly known by his stage name “Big George” was born January 10, 1949, in Marshall, Texas. He was born to his father, Leroy Moorehead, and mother, Nancy Foreman. His mother married another guy named JD Foreman when Foreman was a kid. After marrying JD, his mother, along with her new husband and Foreman, moved to Houston, Texas.

Foreman grew up in the Fifth Ward, Houston along with six other siblings. His step-father was very kind and took care of him without discriminating between his own kids and Foreman. There is not much information about his biological father, who was never a part of Foreman’s life.
