Born on August 5, 1968, in The Bronx, to DJ Aston George Taylor Sr, Aston Jr began to be drawn to the nightclub scene at the age of 16. He found himself acting as a DJ for such events form an early age.
When he was 19, he landed a gig at WRKS 98.7 Kiss-FM with Chuck Chillout in New York. He eventually left their team and moved on to work with 107.5 WBLS-FM.
In the 1990’s Aston began to play at nightclubs belonging to Vito Bruno. Bruno managed to convince Joel Salkowitz, who was one of the executives of Hot 97, to broadcast Aston’s music live.
