David Gilmour was born in 1946 on 6th March to Douglas Gilmour and Sylvia. His father was a senior lecturer in the subject of zoology at the University of Cambridge. On the other hand, his father was a trained leader. Later, he became BBC’s film editor. His birthplace was Trumpington, Cambridgeshire. They moved from one place to another but eventually settled in Grantchester Meadows in 1956.
