David Benioff was born to Barbara Benioff and Stephen Friedman. Stephen Friedman was the former head of Goldman Sachs. He was born into this Jewish family on 25th September 1970 in New York City. He had two elder siblings, Suzy and Caroline. David Benioff is also distantly related to the entrepreneur, Marc Benioff. His early childhood residence was in Manhattan, but then he moved with his family to 86th street, which was where he spent most of his life. When he was sixteen, the family moved to a place near the U.N. Headquarters.
