Biography
Avidan was born on March 14th, 1979, in Springfield, New Jersey and was named Leigh Daniel Avidan. His father belongs to Israel who later migrated to the USA where he met and fell in love with Avidan’s mother. His grandfather was a part of the team that invented body electrodes. Avidan completed his school in 1997 and pursued his advertising course at Boston University. However, he lost interest in the course and went on to study Botany in France, as a part of the University Exchange Program.

In late 2003, Avidan saw a Craigslist ad for the formation of an Indie rock band, named The Northern Hues, which was based in Philadelphia. He was the lead singer as well as the song writer of this rock band. The group even released an album in 2005 but later, split up due to lack of focus and planning. In 2006, he joined another rock band, called Skyhill, which also split in 2008 due to creative differences.
Subsequently, he joined an improv group in a theatre in New York and came up with a new musical project. He eventually found a producer through a mutual friend and named it “Ninja Sex Party” as according to him, these are everyone’s three favorite things.
