While in high school, Christopher became an All-L.A. A city football player at Carson High in 1982.

Christopher then enrolled in the University of Oregon after receiving a football scholarship and played as safety and defensive back for the Ducks from 1982 to 1985. He used to lead the kick off return yardage for 1983 to 1984 and the interceptions in 1984.
Christopher received the Casanova award in 1982, even though he was a freshman in the college. He was selected in Pacific-10 Conference and played the Hula Bowl of 1985. He won an opportunity to host a radio show in his senior year on the West Coast FOX KLSR Morning Show. He decided to use this opportunity to move to LA and get an agent.
