Bruce Anthony Johannesson (C.C Deville) was born on May 14, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York, U.S.
At an early age of two years, Deville developed an interest in music after watching The Beatles perform on The Ed Sullivan Show. At the age of five years, Deville started to play guitar following an award of Japanese Telecaster Copy worth $27. Deville’s love for music became massive, and he started listening to bands such as David Bowie, Aero Smith, the Who, Queen, The Rolling Stones, and New York Dolls, just to mention a few of the bands.
Deville started to audition when he was 18 years old and later became part of the Lace band located in Boro Park, Brooklyn, New York. The band acquired a strong sexual ‘glam’ outlook. The name of the band has initially been Stepmothers. They later changed their name to Samantha 7 after a legal conflict with another group of the same name.
In 2007, the band released an album called Samantha 7 and later released “I Wanna Be Famous,” a soundtrack song used in The Surreal Life: fame games series.
