  1. I was also born in 1944 and I’ve been an admirer since I first heard her on the radio. I heard that Ms. Lee has suffered some physical problems over the last few decades. I saw her on the Ken Burns History of Country Music and she was always seated. I hope she’s okay. Her music is a touching reminder of my teens and twenties. Every song was a masterpiece.   7. It was my love for Brenda Lee that kept me alive all these years (73)… Used to save up that 97 cents to get her newest 45 hit. Used to imitate her a karaoke places, make em ooh and ahh singing her best Kansas City version… Always imagined meeting somewhere to sing a duet with her but that’s okay. Am just glad she’s had a wonderful life, still doin me proud being a remarkable person all these years. I did manage to watch a taped concert made years back. Golly she was great then and now. You are a star I could be proud of and still proud of. They just don’t come any better…. Too sad ya never got to do a song with Stevie Nix and even Adele….oh gosh wouldn’t that be tremendous!!!
