Brandon Byron Jennings was born on September 23, 1989, in Compton, California. He is the son of Alice Knox. At a young age, he lost his father. His half-brother is Terence Phillips. From a very young age, Jennings was interested in basketball.

Brandon Jennings was set to join USC. However, he got signed to the Italian Serie A team Lottomatica Roma in 2018. In the 2018-19 season, he was able to average 5.5 points and 1.6 rebounds. Jennings went on to appear in 16 Euroleague games and his average score was 7.6 points.
He then entered the 2009 NBA Draft and got selected by the Milwaukee Bucks. His NBA debut happened in October 2009 and he was able to score 17 points against the Philadelphia 76ers.
He has also been able to score 55 points against the Golden State Warriors in November 2009. His association with the Milwaukee Bucks continued till 2013. Later he got traded to Detroit Pistons and went on to sign a contract for three years. His career’s best season happened in 2015 when he was able to score 37 points.
