  2. Caribbean Queen was always My FAV of Billy’s! It was even a Staple on some of the Rock Stations
I was Air Talent at! Even an AM/FM Combo Station I worked, that broadcasted into the Miami/Ft Lauderdale Market! The first was out of the Lansing/Mid Michigan Market, back in the Late 80’s and
early 90’s! i always say when people wonder Why, 80’s an 90’s music is still so popular today? Simple! There’s so Few R&B, Pop an Rock Artists making Great Music and Making it look so effortless, these days, as there were in the 80’s and early 90’s! People Like Billy Ocean, Lionel Ritchie, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Madonna, Janet an Michal Jackson and the List goes on! There was a Plethera of Great Bands too! Many came out of the Late 70’s an came into their own in the 80’s Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, Motely Crue, Kiss, Aerosmith, Journey, Reo Speedwagon and Blue Oyster Cult. just to name a few! My Point: Just like with the US Economy has shrunk so incredibly, since the 80’s an Early 90’s! So has the Availability of New Music and “Break Out” Monster Acts! Unfortunately, this Not Only puts a Damper on the Development of New Musical Talent. But Fortunately for the “Established Artists” such as someone Like Billy Ocean, their Outstanding Music gets a “new Lease” on Life and Hopefully lasts at the same time for Years an Decades to come! 🙂
