  1. As a retired teacher and independent educational, but unpublished researcher, I was most interested in his educational foundation and work with educational improvements and rewards. I read two of his six books that were related mostly to education of the educational disadvantaged via scholarships. More than half of my 50 years in education have involved the education of the Latino and black students. We at Educational Cultural Complex(ECC) part of San Diego Community College District. may have developed a series of tools, programs, technology and models, that if were replicated using our 22 year model may not only decrease the large learning differences among groups, but eliminate these differences.. The documented research involved over 400 classes of math, 10,000 students(85 % black. Latino) with learning gains of 7-9 times the Stanford gain of 9.1 %/year groups. The unpublished model is called Scientific Readiness Textbook Level(Systematic Approach to Math Instruction) or more simply SCTL(SAMI). The M an be changed to any defined discipline such as “R” for reading; “S” for science.; “C” for computers.. The unique technology is diagnosttic-prescriptive(D/P) tests, printouts and programs. The R & D is extensive involving a 28 year (D/P) placement Readiness study at San Diego State University in chemistry evaluating 24 competencies (ten algebra 1; 10 fundamental chemistry, and 4 pre-algebra)( 1978-2000); A Navy BOOST Program that correlated eight math exams to the math SAT supporting empirically that the math SAT/ACT are multilevel math levels tests.
though much of this R & D has been applied oin the four level UCSD algebra Readiness program that has been applied at many California universities, community colleges and some high schools. The research was applied in 1998 to 2013 at the CA State K-12 STAR program. Although I have never sought credit for these and other successful program contributions, no one to date seemed interested additional insight on the program and how it functioned. I an NOT selling anything but a change in thinking, awareness and practices on improving all levels to education. I have a MS research degree in chemistry, am married for 53 years to a Latina, who taught second grade for 35 years. I also have 18 relatives, a son, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and heir grand children
involved in public education. One final point just as technology has a 5 g program that means the fifth generation, our program is a 15 G meaning 15 generations in development. T am not selling anything but a change in awareness, thinking, practices and replication. I am hoping Dr. Ben Carson might be interested in discussing and examining the R & D. I sent Dr, Carson an email when he was a candidate for president in 2016. My phone # is H: 1-858-798-5233; C: 1-619-873-4929 email is ekangas20162gmail.com

  2. I wish Mr Carson was still in pediatric neurosurgery because my great niece has a rare disease in her brain that gives her seizures and she is a year old now but is like a 3 month old baby and it is so sad to watch, my brother her grandfather has terminal cancer and he is only 63 and wishes to live so he can help with his granddaughter and to see her eventually thrive! It’s just so heartbreaking!

  3. I WOULD LOVE TO TRY YOUR SMART PILL , BUT I AM NOT ONE OF THOSE RICH PEOPLE. I AM VERY PROUD OF WHAT YOU ACCOMPLISHED , AND IT WILL HELP A LOT OF GOOD PEOPLE. I AM JUST AN AVERAGE PERSON LIVING IN TEXAS. I KNOW AFTER THE TRAIL IS OVER IT WILL GO TO $149.00. I TRULY CANNOT AFFORD THAT, IF YOU EVER COME DOWN ON YOUR PILLS JUST PUT IT ON THE COMPUTER.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND CARING .
