On March 23, 1989, Ayesha Disa Alexander, was born in Ontario, Canada, and grew up in the Toronto suburb of Markham. Her father was a musician and took her name from the Stevie Wonder song “Isn’t She Lovely,” about the legendary singer’s daughter.
