She was brought up Jewish, going to Sunday school, but has recently confessed that she was not religious. Her schooling journey began at Valley Forge School and Conestoga High School. In college, she studied Fine Arts and Video Production at Mary Land Institute College of Art. After graduation, she decided to add more skill to her career, where she enrolled for a course at the Atlantic Theatre Company and Upright Citizens brigade.
