Born Tauheed Epps and later known as 2 Chainz as a professional name, he hails from Georgia, where he was born in 1977. 2 Chainz went to North Clayton High School, where after graduation joined Alabama State University through a scholarship. He transferred to Virginia State University but came back again to Alabama State University, where he graduated.
