On April 8, 1984, Kirsten Renee Storms was born to Mike Storms and Karen Storms in Orlando, Florida, USA.  She grew up in the greater Orlando area, mainly Kissimmee, Casselberry, and Sanford. She has three siblings, her younger sister Gretchen, a brother named Austin, and a stepbrother named Chris.

However, soap opera digest later revealed on April 6, 2016, that the couple had filed for a divorce after two and half years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences but agreed to raise their daughter together as they were splitting amicably. Due to failure at the sobriety test, she was arrested for DUI.
