Rae Sremmurd is an American double hip-hop performer. This duo is composed of two brothers. The two brothers are Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi. Rae Sremmurd is famous for their debut album platinum certification in 2015 January. That is by the Recording Industry Association of American and also with their renowned single called Black Beatles.
Early Life
Slim Jxmmi is one of the two hip-hop performers whose other name is Aaquil Iben Shamon Brown. He was born in 1991, 29th December. Slim was born in Inglewood, California of United States of America. His partner is Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown with another name as Swae Lee. He is Slim’s younger brother. He was born in the same area as his brother Slim in 1993, 7th June.
The two are sons of Bernadette Walker who raised them. They have a brother called Michael. Their father deserted the family in their childhood stage. Bernadette Walker was an army officer. The two brothers attended Tupelo High School.
Career
Slim and Swale started their career by writing music when they were young. They also practised dancing together. For instance, at the age of ten, Khalif knew about producing music with Fruity Loops. The boys Khalif and Swale when attending the middle school they returned to Mississippi to join their new friends who were precisely mother’s, Floyd Sullivan.
That came up after their mother left the army. They went to stay in Tupelo, Mississippi. That is where the two brothers met Jeremiah Middlebrooks while he was in basketball at the area park.
They talked with him to form a hip-hop band by name Dem Outa. The two brothers decided on their stage names individually. Aaquil became Caliboy while Khalif became Kid Krunk. Jeremiah, in his stage name, became Lilpantz. The three had part-time jobs which enabled them to buy music equipment which they produced at home. Caliboy and Kid Krunk were compiling their melodies, and very soon the three started rapping.
The three seemed to have been influenced by Soulja Boy Tell’Em as they produced songs and videos on social networks. During this Eva, the three met Jermarcus Jackson, who was popularly known as JJ. Currently, he is known as Jay Sremm, who was and is even today a young DJ. He was the two boys schoolmate at Kupelo High School. He was given the role of Disc Joker in the group.
From their group, they released a lot more music like the Party Animal. They later changed their stages name and made it their group name. They participated in many shows. Rae Sremmurd has three albums so far.

Sremmurd has been awarded a Black Entertainment Television award for one season. They have been nominated severally for the same. Sremmurd have also been nominated for BET hip hop awards. They won the Billboard Music award this year 2017.
