Brigitte Bardot, whose full name is Brigitte Anne-Marie Bardot, was born on the 28th of September 1934 in Paris, France to parents, Louis Bardot (1896–1975) and Anne-Marie Mucel (1912–1978). She has a younger sister, Mijanou.

Her father was an engineer and was the proprietor of several industrial factories in Paris. Brigitte used to suffer from amblyopia as a child, which resulted in a reduced vision of her left eye.
