Erin Gray was born on 7th January 1950 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to her parents Diane and Daniel Gray. In 1958, her parent’s marital problems escalated, which resulted in their separation. Erin was left under her grandparent’s care for several years before she moved with her mother to Larkspur, California.
In California, she joined Redwood High School before moving to Pacific Palisades High School, where she finished her last semester. Erin later joined the college at UCLA where she majored mathematics but didn’t finish as she left college to pursue a modeling career.

While in high school, Erin met Ken Schwartz and the two fell in love and ended up getting married. Ken pursued a career in real estate where he was a successful executive.
